[ORAS LC] Fun team with Zigzagoon Empty [ORAS LC] Fun team with Zigzagoon

I figured I'd post a team too so yeah here it is. This is the most fun team i've played in a long time playing LC. The team's winning condition is late game sweep with zigzagoon and tirtouga. The overall strategy of the team is to ensure set up, which you can do easy af. You basically just set up rocks, take out the threats and start sweeping with zigzagoon/tirtouga. The threats differ for both pokes, i'll specify later which goes for which. Without further hinder here it is :

Diglett (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Arena Trap
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Stealth Rock
- Memento

Pancham (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 180 Atk / 100 Def / 212 SDef / 12 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Gunk Shot
- Parting Shot

Zigzagoon (M) @ Berry Juice
Trait: Pickup
EVs: 132 HP / 196 Atk / 144 SDef / 36 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Seed Bomb
- Thief
- Belly Drum

Tirtouga (M) @ Berry Juice
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 212 Atk / 92 Def / 24 SDef / 180 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Waterfall
- Shell Smash

Staryu @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 36 HP / 220 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Scald

Abra (F) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Hidden Power Fighting
- Dazzling Gleam
- Protect

Explanation each mon :

Diglett - The trapper of the team who, when fully invested, reaches 20 Speed, making it the fastest unboosted Pokemon in the metagame, alongside Elekid and Voltorb. Its ability allows it to trap and remove specific threats, which is very important for your winning condition. However, because Diglett is weak without Life Orb, it has to have Life Orb to do its duty and that renders it from switching in on many attacks, even weak ones. So use it solely as a revenge killer and threat remover. Diglett is fairly weak, so it's important to make sure the opposing Pokemon cannot set up after Diglett KOes a foe (Memento is important here, it will hinder set up for your opponent but ensure set up for you). The EV's maximize Digletts potential to renvenge kill.
Threats it needs to remove : Pawniard, Chinchou, Trubbish, Magnemite.

Pancham - The pivot of the team. Although  Pancham faces a lot of competition from the likes of Mienfoo and Timburr, of which the former has Regenerator and the latter has Guts and access to Mach Punch, it has great bulk, a maximum Attack stat of 18, and is the only user of Parting Shot in the tier, which earn it a slot this team. It has Mold Breaker, which allows it to remove items from Sticky Hold Pokemon using Knock Off and kill pokemon with Sturdy in 1 hit.
180 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature maximize Pancham's Attack. 100 Defense and 212 Special Defense EVs give Pancham Eviolite numbers and good bulk to survive many hits while pivoting, even Focus Sash Abra's Psychic. The 12 Speed EVs give Pancham 11 Speed, allowing it to outspeed Spritzee, Snubbull, and Timburr.
Threats it need to remove : Lileep, Tirtouga, Spritzee, Honedge (for zig, not for tir), Pawniard. (Note = Keep in mind when you Parting Shot with Pancham that Pawniards Defiant gives it an attack boost, which you definitely do not want to give to the main threat of your team).

Zigzagoon - One of the sweepers of the team. Zigzagoon is one of the most unique and deadly sweepers in the LC metagame. However, Zigzagoon has a shallow movepool and a mediocre offensive typing; it's also very slow, though Extreme Speed mitigates this flaw. Zigzagoon heavily relies on setting up Belly Drum to perform its role and is pretty much useless if you fail to do so. After having set up Belly Drum, Zigzagoon kills most pokemon in the tier with its Extreme Speed. Thief lets it hit ghost types, and Seed Bomb lets it kill Omanyte, Tirtouga and Hippopotas. 196 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature maximize Zigzagoon's Attack, and 32 Speed EVs let Zigzagoon outspeed Pumpkaboo. The rest of the EVs are thrown into HP and special defense to allow Zigzagoon to set up reliably. (Note = Zigzagoon shouldn't switch in until all its potential checks are down, or else it won't be able to reliably sweep).

Tirtouga - The other sweeper of the team. Shell Smash is the main move of the set, allowing Tirtouga to outspeed most of the tier and boost its offenses to scary levels after just one use. Waterfall is Tirtouga's most reliable STAB attack, KOing most non-resisting Pokemon at +2. Stone Edge grants it dual STAB, offering a higher powered attack. Earthquake is an option for additional coverage, allowing Tirtouga to hit threats such as Croagunk that would otherwise wall the set.
Berry Juice and Sturdy let Tirtouga survive two attacks from any Pokemon, allowing it to easily set up and sweep. An Adamant nature works best since Tirtouga already outspeeds most of the tier. Tirtouga can start off as a lead so Sturdy is guaranteed to activate. But, an opposing team with full health usually can KO it before satisfactory damage is done. So Tirtouga performs best sweeping late-game, when all of the enemy Pokemon have enough damage for it to nab the KOs.
The EVs are spread for Tirtouga to kill after Shell Smash, and be bulky enough to do so.

Staryu - The offensive rapid spinner of the team. Staryu is my personal favorite rapid spinner due to its speed and offensive capabilities. With greater offensive presence compared to the bulky Rapid Spin set, this set aims to better fit onto teams that cannot afford the defensive set's slight loss in momentum against certain team match-ups. Once again, Rapid Spin is hugely useful because of the utility it provides. Scald is a viable STAB moves with a very usefull burn utility  Ice Beam 2HKOes physically defensive Pumpkaboo and OHKOes Fletchling after Stealth Rock damage in addition to damaging other Grass- and Flying-types. Recover lets it heal. The given EVs and nature maximize offensive presence and revenge killing potential. Staryu's primary purpose is to use Rapid Spin, but this Staryu variant can also act as a win condition against specific teams due to its high Speed and decent power. However, specially defensive Pumpkaboo is still problematic for Staryu as a spinner.

Abra - The filler/threat removal/revenge killer/idk I just like it, of the team. Abra's base 105 Special Attack stat is the highest in the tier, only matched by that of Solosis. Abra is also extremely fast, reaching the invaluable 19 Speed tier, which allows it to outspeed the majority of the metagame.  Abra's ability, Magic Guard, allows it to effectively utilize a Focus Sash to become a revenge killer, hitting a good amount of threats super effectively. However, Abra's Psychic typing and terrible defenses really limit what it can do, as it has to constantly be wary of Sucker Punch users and Choice Scarf users, which can easily KO it, even with neutral attacks. (Early Note = Be very wary of Sucker punch Gastly).
Psychic is Abra's most powerful and reliable STAB move, allowing Abra to revenge kill Fighting- and Poison-type threats. Dazzling Gleam allows it to hit Dark-types, and Hidden Power Fighting is great for hitting Pawniard and Houndour super effectively, as they are only hit neutrally by Dazzling Gleam. Protect is used to stop nasty Fake Out users that threaten to nullify Abra's Focus Sash. Thanks to Magic Guard and Focus Sash, Abra cannot be OHKOed. As such, this set works best as a failsafe countermeasure against setup sweepers. It is also incredibly powerful and fast, so it can be useful late-game to heavily pressure the opponent. The EVs are used to maximize Abra's Speed and damage output, as its subpar defenses are poop. A Timid nature should be used because it allows Abra to hit 19 Speed, giving it the ability to outspeed the majority of the metagame.

I hope that I have explained the team good enough. I've had a fun time playing with this team and I hope you all will have too   Very Happy
